On behalf of the ATW 2021 Organizing Committee, it is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to ATW 2021 to be held from October 7 (Thu) to 9 (Sat), 2021 in Daegu, Korea.
As many of you are aware, we organized last year’s congress virtually due to the sudden spike in the number of COVID-19 cases. It was a big challenge, but we nevertheless were able to host the ATW 2020 Virtual Congress successfully thanks to the benevolent support and enthusiasm of all members.
We still have hopes that the global situation will be better in 2021, but travel continues to be sensitive. Therefore, ATW 2021 will be held in a hybrid format combining in-person and virtual programs. Interaction is a key element in maintaining a strong bond between the members of our community, and must continue to be fostered. Although we may not be able to see everyone face to face this time, we are preparing a rich program that participants can fully engage in and enjoy whichever way they may choose to join us. We will, of course, continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely, and follow all government-recommended quarantine guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our participants.
Under the theme “New Horizon for Better Transplantation in Asia,” the ATW 2021 Organizing Committee is preparing an exciting scientific program including Plenary Sessions, Special Session, COVID-19 Session, and Concurrent Symposiums. The ATW 2021 Hybrid Congress will cover hot topics and the latest findings in the various fields of transplantation, and provide all participants with the chance to not only hear renowned speakers and delegates, but also share their thoughts and ideas with the community.
It is the wish of the Korean Society for Transplantation, the organizing society of ATW, to have the privilege to share its experience and knowhow with colleagues from all over the world through ATW 2021. We will devote our utmost effort to prepare a most meaningful and enjoyable hybrid congress for on-line and on-site participants alike.
Please stay safe and healthy until we meet you at ATW 2021!
