Introduction

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you to participate in the Live Robot-assisted Kidney Transplantation Symposium scheduled for November 15th, 2023 at Asan Medical Center (AMC), a globally recognized institution for our advancements in transplantation procedures.

The symposium will be an opportunity to share and learn from experiences in the field of kidney transplantation and particularly robot-assisted procedures. We are proud to say that AMC recently reached another milestone by conducting our 6,000th kidney transplantation, a first in Korea. With more than 400 transplantations performed per year, AMC has been at the forefront of providing advanced kidney transplantation with survival rates of 98.5% at 1 year and 90% at 5 years.

We are also making strides in the field of robot-assisted kidney transplantation, successfully completing of our 100th case recently. AMC has been able to apply this cutting-edge approach to a wider range of patients, including those with severe obesity, offering them a highly sophisticated surgical option that involves smaller incisions, less intraoperative bleeding, faster recovery, and earlier hospital discharge compared to open kidney transplantation.

We are excited to announce that we will be joined by notable speaker Dr. Mohamed Eltemamy of Cleveland Clinic, USA, an esteemed expert in the field of robot-assisted kidney transplantation. His contribution to the field is truly invaluable, and his insights will greatly enrich the symposium.

The Live Robot-assisted Kidney Transplantation Symposium is more than a celebration of our accomplishments: it is a platform for knowledge exchange and the advancement of the transplantation field. We firmly believe that shared knowledge and collective experiences are the keys to driving progress in our professional community.
Your participation will undoubtedly add value to our event. We anticipate an enlightening and rewarding day filled with rich discussions and exchange.
